It's a no no for a restaurant in Metrotown

We were supposed to celebrate a HAPPY birthday in this restaurant

 in metro town.

Oh well..

Thanks for the interesting and memorable birthday party!

We tried to make reservation the day before..

called about 10 times,

but nobody bother to pick up the phone.

So we decided to just go there early and get a table.

We arrived in front of the shop 6pm sharp..

It was closed..

Dark.. No sign of people..

but spotted customer's leftover plates on the table.

It says "open at 6pm.."

BUT it IS 6pm now..

 Decided to ask the shop next door.. 

whether this shop is still doing business...

Next door staff: "Yeah.. They are still doing business. I saw them doing business this afternoon. But they close for a while before dinner service."

Me:"What time they reopen for the night? I saw their sign saying open at 6pm"

Next door staff:"Not sure. Sometimes they open at 6.. sometimes they open at 7.. Not fixed.."

Ok.. So we decided to switch place. 

But then,

our friend spotted them opened around 6:30pm..

ok.. our fault for not waiting them long enough..

We went back to the shop.

IT'S HER BIRTHDAY!

we look at their webpage,

discuss about menu,

and ordered our food instantly!

(Well, this waiter was ok... not too bad)

We waited until 7:20pm..

We are hungry people after work..

So we decided to cut the cake first while waiting!

There was a old woman..

came to our table to social abit.. 

"Oh yeah.. whose birthday is this..? Wow.. what kind of cake is that?"

so we kind of entertain her abit.. 

and she told us that she is understaff at the moment.

She will serve our food no matter what.. just need to wait

9 of us..

9 main dishes and 2 side dishes..

and fyi, 

therer is only three tables waiting to be served.

Us (with 10 people),two young ladies and a couple.

We arrived first,

then the ladies, then only the couple

So we expect our food to arrive first..

well.. first dish (steak) was out! Yay! 

(It was around 7:40 ish i guess?)

We were not given a sharper knife for the steak. So we requested for it.

She came to our table and said

"Your cake provided you a plastic knife. This knife is good enough for you to cut your cake. It is small.. but still can cut nicely.. unless you wanna take it off from the base. then you might need a wider knife. I have a similar knife, but slightly wider than this plastic knife.. But it's ok, I can go and get it for you all... "

(Oh sweetie.. we want a knife for the steak.. not the cake..)

while she was talking that, one of us actually asked it from other staff and get the knife for steak..

then she realised..

"Oh.. You are eating! You should tell me you want it for the steak! not the cake!"

and hor... the steak is cold.. not even warm..

We continue to wait..

second dish, (a spaghetti) around 8:10pm..

ok wait again..

third dish around 8:30pm

and it is not for us...

IT WAS FOR THE COUPLE!

We waited for 1 and a half hours.. and only served us 2 main dishes!

Ok.. so we were not happy about it.

How can that happen...?

(Dont mess with hungry people's food)

So we voice out nicely,

saying if possible, 

we want to get our bill.. and cancel the remaining food..

we have been waiting for 1 and a half hour and you serve the other table first...!

Old woman:"Which? Which table you tell me they serve.."

(COME ON! there are only 3 tables in there.. and whose table has the food?)

she started it out by saying we raise our voice, 

and shout at us,

in front of our table!!

I will try my best to write down what she say to us!

Old woman:"That is my money! I prepare the food for you all and you are not paying it! How can you cheat me? I have many case already! People came in, order and leave without paying anything!"

( Like our money is just a scrap paper for origami..and hello~ Did we say we dont want to pay?)

"Last time got 3 girls.. they ate and left without paying.. I call the security with a gun to chase them back I tell you! How can you eat and don't pay!! How can you cheat me!"

( I bet people just cant wait anymore.. it is taking WAY TOO LONG!!!)

We told her, you should tell us that you are understaff and the waiting time will be longer than usual before taking our order.. She told us during the cake cutting when everything was ordered.

"You have to wait for our food. Like spaghetti, it can be very fast! but for pizza.. we make it fresh.. we have to bla bla bla.. wait for 15 minutes.. then bla bla bla.. you have to wait at least 30 minutes"

( We have been waiting more than 1 hour.. so how many pizza is that?)

"If you want faster food, go to Lucy Kitchen! Don't come here if you cannot wait."

(She did actually say that!! Hatred I guess? Hmmm..)

 

"How can you cheat me! I have stroke I tell you. You don't treat me like a dog! If you don't pay and leave I will ask the guard to chase you!"

(We never call her that. And I love dogs..Dogs are human's best friend!!)

 Basically she keep repeating about the previous customer for not paying the bill and left.

We don't want to fight with her.. But she keep shouting at us saying we wanted to cheat her.. 
and since she claimed that she prepared the food edy..
Ok fine... serve it within 10 minutes..
  If not, we will just pay whatever is on our table!

Well.. they really serve us within 10 minutes.. 

But I am sorry to say that..

The food doesn't taste good for anyone of us..

and the price is way too pricey for that kind of quality!

Dish of the day!

Chicken Salad has only 4 piece of leaves and full of meat! 

We asked, is this chicken salad,
and she answered: "Yeah.. this is what you order"

 She basically keep gossiping us to the couple and the two ladies..

 No need to gossip.. They can see what happen there!

 So we pay the bill straightaway after finishing the food and left.

(They still have the face to charge us service charge!)

The funniest part is! 

she even calculate dunno-what-she-is-calculating with her finger pointing at our table..

Plates? knives? forks? glass? napkins? tissue? toothpicks?

Maybe she really thinks that we are thieves!

Oh well..

they have good reviews..

But for me, I am sorry..

Your service is way to bad!

Firstly, you shouted at us like we wanted to get a free meal and to steal stuff from you.

and she actually PUSHED two of our friend out from their shop while leaving,

and shouting at us, asking us not to come back anymore!

"Don't ever come back again! We do not welcome you!"

and close the door!
Guess that's the way they treat customers.

After the KXXXs Groupon incident..

I can only say this..

"一山还有一山高!"
